The concept

  • 3 hours of workshops with a guest teacher from Montreal: Pierre-Olivier Bastien-Dionne
  • 1 WCS initiation course (invite your friends!!)
  • 1 100% WCS dance party

  • 1-4pm: Workshops 1-2-3
  • 8pm: Introductory class
  • 9pm to ??? Dance party

Workshop levels

Workshop 1: Footwork

→ An easy way to vary your dancing is to change your footwork. You’ll have access to several options that will allow you to have fun, with or without your partner.

Workshop 2: Changing angles

→ You’ll see three different ways of using angle changes during the dance to allow you to vary your bases or open up other options.

Workshop 3: Adding dynamism

→ You’ll combine footwork and angle changes to create a more dynamic dance.

The teacher

→ Pierre-Olivier Bastien-Dionne.

A dancer since 2003, Pierre-Olivier began with swing before specializing in west coast swing, then Brazilian zouk, in addition to his extensive ballroom training. Since 2013, Pierre-Olivier has been a highly technical instructor who uses his training as a pedagogue to deliver the most precise and effective teaching possible, whether in swing, zouk or ballroom.
