Thibaud started dancing in 2018 when he arrived in Quebec with lindy hop, with the aim of making social connections with local people. He soon discovered west coast swing at dance parties at Edgar’s Salon and immediately started taking classes at Port-o-Swing.

Until 2020, he danced mainly lindy and west coast swing at various Quebec City social events, but it wasn’t until after the pandemic, in 2022, that he turned entirely to the latter dance style. At the end of 2022, he began teaching at the Port-o-Swing school and traveling regularly to the United States to compete and train with dance professionals.

Fun fact: Thibaud mostly played music in France, and took part in aggressive metal bands.
