From an early age, Mélanie has been interested in the visual arts and theater. During her travels and her work as a Club Med entertainer, she discovered Latin social dances around the age of 20.

Thibaud started dancing in 2018 when he arrived in Quebec with lindy hop, with the aim of making social connections with local people. He soon discovered west coast swing at dance parties at Edgar's Salon and immediately started taking classes at Port-o-Swing.
