Dance is based on two types of steps: pas (step) and triple pas (triple step). A step corresponds to one weight transfer per pulse, while a triple step is faster, with three weight transfers per two pulses. All WCS movements combine steps and triple steps, to create a myriad of movements (patterns) in six, eight or more beats.
